Quirrell: The Nervous Nemesis


 For such a pivotal character, surprisingly little is known about Professor Quirrell, the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher during Harry’s first year. Before arriving at Hogwarts, he embarked on a “Grand Tour” of the world—a journey that ended in tragedy when he fell under the influence of Lord Voldemort. Behind his timid demeanor and nervous stutter lurked a chilling secret: Voldemort’s spirit concealed beneath his signature purple turban. Ultimately, Quirrell attempted to steal the Philosopher’s Stone, but his plan was thwarted by Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

  Welcome to the 2025 Slytherin Sock Syndicate Advent Sock Our team is busy getting ready for December and our 10th annual sock MKAL  While we finish up november we wanted to give you a few bits and pieces. Day 24 Mistletoe is an Ingredient in the Antidote to Most Poisons and the Forgetfulness Potion. Mistletoe is used as Christmas decoration and was part of the decorations in the Room of Requirement just before the Christmas holidays. Luna remarked that Nargles frequently infest mistletoe. Later, Harry and Cho Chang were alone under the mistletoe, and this time Harry brought up Nargles out of nervousness, but Cho laughed and they kissed. The Lovegoods have mistletoe growing on either side of their front door with a sign saying “PICK YOUR OWN MISTLETOE”.
