Kreacher Komforts


In the Potterverse, some villains occasionally undergo surprising transformations, switching sides in the fight against Lord Voldemort. Kreacher, the Black family’s house-elf, was one such character. Initially sullen and fiercely devoted only to his former master, Regulus Black, Kreacher resented outsiders. His loyalty shifted, however, after Harry Potter honored Regulus’s memory by giving Kreacher the fake locket Regulus had used to thwart Voldemort. From that moment, Kreacher became a steadfast ally, ultimately leading the Hogwarts house-elves into battle against Voldemort’s forces during the climactic Battle of Hogwarts.

Day 24 Mistletoe is an Ingredient in the Antidote to Most Poisons and the Forgetfulness Potion. Mistletoe is used as Christmas decoration and was part of the decorations in the Room of Requirement just before the Christmas holidays. Luna remarked that Nargles frequently infest mistletoe. Later, Harry and Cho Chang were alone under the mistletoe, and this time Harry brought up Nargles out of nervousness, but Cho laughed and they kissed. The Lovegoods have mistletoe growing on either side of their front door with a sign saying “PICK YOUR OWN MISTLETOE”.
